The (h)EAR Concert and Workshop Series has presented 8 concerts and 8 workshops in 2023. We will be presenting one more concert and 3 workshops in early 2024 (January - February). The Kingston Improvising Musicians Collective would like to respectfully acknowledge that all our activities take place on lands that were traditionally inhabited by the original peoples of this territory, including the Haudenosonee, and that Indigenous peoples continue to live on these lands. We hope to work in partnership and collaboration with Indigenous peoples as we move forward towards decolonization, and an end to all racism and forms of oppression. We would also like to acknowledge the rich musical, oral, and auditory traditions of the Indigenous peoples of this land. We respectfully recognize the power and importance of music, audio, and oral tradition to retain and transmit culture.
